Yes, We Gave It Back

Times Now had to stoop down to a new low in journalism - by trying a desperate attempt to Shame our Men in Blue by firing the Twitter trend #ShamedInSydney.

What they did not realize was the fact that it would come to bite them when Twitter hit back with the trend #ShameOnTimesNow.

Here is why - trying the age old trick of fueling the desperation into negative emotions has become what I said, OLD.

India is a country where emotions run deep, specially when it comes to our favorite sport, Cricket. The Men In Blue has surprised almost everyone by their performance this World Cup. They reached the Semi Finals and were up against Australia in their home ground.

Most Indian fans are a matured audience who realize the gravity of the situation. Times Now suggesting that the Indian team had let a billion supporters down, only suggested their dim-sightedness and the fact that they were undermining the mindset of Indian cricket fans.

India is well aware of what Team India has achieved and we are proud. We have a Captain, who did not go home to see his newborn daughter, captained the team which won 7 matches in a row this World Cup; if anything, India has respect for this team that has given us a lot to cheer for.

At the end of the day, what is more important is the spirit of the game. The team that ultimately played better won and that should be it. There is no point playing the blame game on the Team or people close to them. Yes, those who are blaming Anushka Sharma for the loss - I am pointing at you too!

India is growing up. The Nation wants to know, when will you?
