A Scoop of Sunshine

Stealing a glance at the person in the mirror, I looked to find a face so familiar, Yet there were lines that have appeared, Some streaks of grey here and there.

Lady on the swing, Your hair blows in wind, As you sit there swaying, As if in a dream.

Valentine's day is here, With romantic souls declaring love near and far. "Oh it's love", they say, "The crazy, undying kind, Which cannot be tempered by the rain or wind" Oh silly, silly mind!

Sara was sitting on the usual arm chair in her room, looking out of the window at the lawn outside. It was a pleasant sunny day, the grass green and sky blue, a lonely bird sang a tune on the branch of a nearby tree.

This is my attempt at trying to capture the constant thirst for answers to the questions we often ask ourselves. Although, we are never sure if the answers we have is precise, the pursuit of our answers is a journey in itself. A little girl once asked, Who do I fear most? For whom should I care? What makes the sun so bright and the moon so fair?

Just the other day, traversing through piles of online materials, I came across this new term - Kintsukuroi (n.) (v.phr.) "to repair with gold"; The art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.

I traverse the empty crowded streets, In search of my true calling. The vastness of the city of dreams Gives me a dismal feeling.
